Powerful Earthquakes Continue to Strike at the Heart of Italy

6.3 and 5.4 earthquakes have struck Italy with such intensity that they could be felt all the way in Rome itself.  As many as 30 million people have been affected by these quakes, damage to buildings and downed power lines are among the aftermath that the citizens of Italy are forced to deal with.  People could be heard screaming in the streets and thousand have been forced to vacate their homes. The tremors have rattled even the ancient Colosseum, sending stones that have remained in place for centuries tumbling to the ground.

Could there be a spiritual significance to the shaking of this historic monument? Rome itself has a history drenched in the persecution of Christians.  Is it possible that God is sending a signal to Rome, that the days of its subtle reign are about to come to an abrupt end?

Seemingly dormant for centuries, Rome has quietly worked behind curtains of misperception to influence world events, including the manipulation of various world leaders for the sake of global governance.  Perhaps the time of her influence is about to come to a close.   In any event, the recent disruption of her peaceful existence is worthy of attention world wide.

Fortunately there are no fatalities associated with these recent quakes but the phenomena is quickly establishing itself as a reoccurring theme.  Could there be a connection with the quake phenomena and “end times” biblical prophecy?  You be the judge.

Matthew 24:7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. Mark 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.  Luke 21:11  And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

What wisdom are these verses imparting to those who believe them to be divine? They are a warning, alerting the people of God to the fact that when these things begin to occur, sorrows will follow for the earth’spopulation leading right up to the return of the Savior. So get ready children of God, the ride’s about to get a bit rough.
