The Rapture, already happened?

This is one of the most controversial topics among Christians, some declare it will happen pre tribulation, some assume it will be during tribulation, some affirm it will be post trib.

Amazingly, there is a very small percentage of living humans speaking about the rapture. People of the world, are totally unaware of this imminent event.

In Spanish, the word for a birthday’s celebration is Cumple-años, the day of the fulfillment of the year that has passed. It means I have accomplished it, I have lived my year, and ready to live my next year. In the same way, it is not that we will live the rapture in one day, we are living to perform it, towards its fulfillment.

Now, Satan lost his battle even before it started, he will not be thrown, he was already thrown, we know that. This means we are living something that already happened.

I am a pre-trib believer. Would I be disappointed if I am wrong? No, I am a believer that whatever happens, it was His will. However, I know His Word is true…

1 Thessalonians 5:9New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

9 For God has destined us not for wrath but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

I don’t think it is a matter of knowing the day, we won’t anyway. Nor a matter of discussing, if it will be pre or post. It is not even a matter of having the lamp ready. It is a matter of having enough oil for the lamp.

Some even assure, the word “rapture” is not in the Bible. Yes, it is. It comes from the Aramaic word, Netchatef, translated later for Harpazo, Greek for “Caught up”. The English word rapture, comes from the Latin Raptur.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52New International Version (NIV)

51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—

52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

The last trumpet here, is YHWH’s trumpet, not the angels’ trumpets…

1 Thessalonians 4:17New International Version (NIV)

17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

Changed? What does it mean to be changed? Here you have the otiot study on the word mystery, changed, and Netchatef, hoping it will bring you meaning,

The certainly is that soon, we are going up, up, up!!
