Holyland: A brief summary of Holyland
The documentary Holyland takes you on a journey through Israel (Holyland) in a way no other documentary can. Trey Smith and Rick Derringer (also see Rick Derringer‘s new Gospel album) go to sites such as Sodom and Gomorrah, Sea of Galilee, and have real supernatural encounters the entire way.
Rick Derringer has an incredible testimony of faith.
Prior to going to Israel (Holyland) Derringer was arrested for carrying a pistol onto a commercial airplane. It was thought this would prevent him from flying — not only to the Holyland — but even on future music tours. The unusual events surrounding this are also covered in the Holyland documentary.
In Holyland the cross-holes (claimed by tour guides not to exist) are uncovered just out front the Garden Tomb… and many more surprises.
If you enjoy Trey Smith documentaries, this is a combination of his style of film making — and a first time at locations.
The documentary film give you fell of actually being on the trip…. And also the definite feel of not being “scripted” (as it was certainly not; even their itinerary got literally tossed out the window).
These men (Trey Smith and Rick Derringer, also Lance Smith doing recording) feel the Lord led them through the Holyland. You will probably feel you are being led on the same mysterious journey sitting right on your couch at home as you watch.
Of Israel “tours” — this is unique and unusal.
Enjoy the adventure of Holyland.
