In this film, Trey Smith unveils the truth of the events that set the stage for the Biblical Exodus—and demonstrates conclusively that the threads of secular and sacred history, and even much of what we commonly understand to be myth and legend are inextricably intertwined.

Embark on a thrilling quest for knowledge tracing back to the dawn of Egypt, upon which you will witness the ascension of the iconic Step Pyramid, the rise of the mysterious Imhotep—who will be proven to be none other than Joseph himself—and the ill-fated splendor of Egypt’s Golden Age. You will traverse through the era of the enigmatic Hyksos as Trey examines the reign of the Shepherd Kings, and finally witness the birth of the 18th Dynasty under the rule of Tuthmoses III, the sixth Pharaoh of the the 18th Dynasty.

But every rise has a fall, and the viewer will be taken through the tumultuous downfall and collapse of Egypt, culminating in the radical reign of Akhenaten, the man who God raised up to dismantle the pantheon of ancient Egyptian gods. The viewer will also delve into the legendary tale of Osiris from Egyptian mythology; a saga of betrayal and resurrection as Osiris is slain by the evil god Set, before being miraculously brought back to life by Isis. In all of this, intriguing parallels between Egyptian and Babylonian religious lore and tradition and the actual historical events that transpired during this period are brought into focus,  leaving viewers yearning for more exploration.

Against this backdrop, Trey seamlessly and incisively weaves the story of Joseph gleaned from both the Biblical record in Genesis 37-50 and the account given in the Apocryphal Book of Jasher; this all but forgotten history of ancient Egypt; and the myths and legends of  the Egyptian pantheon of gods together into an electrifying narrative grand tapestry through which the viewer will not just hear the epic saga of Joseph retold like never before, but learn how God worked directly in Joseph’s life to fulfill prophecy and keep His covenants; and how these events set the stage for the Exodus of Moses.

At the end of this incredible story of tragedy, travail, and triumph the viewer cannot help but gain a newfound appreciation for God’s grand design and sovereign hand at work in the unfolding of history.
